Welcome to a glimpse of how I contributed to the past 30 years of animation. I started in the days when Warner Brothers Feature animation were creating traditional animated films, and my big break was working on clean up in-betweens on the Iron Giant. Shortly after, I moved to Disney Feature animation to work on several projects with many of the Disney legends before they transitioned to 3D.
I had to pivot, and bring my drawing and animation skills to television animation, working as a storyboard revisionist. As a mother of 2, I invested becoming a career revisionist, able to dedicate to both family and work, without sacrificing my quality or time from either endeavors. I learned to adapt from paper, to photoshop, to Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, FBX to Blender. Working closely with directors, my gained knowledge and adaptablity to different styles and direction, as well as no longer needing to raise young children, empowers me to rise to the next opportunity, whether it be boarding, or experienced revising.
Meanwhile, I have been fortunate to freelance on many traditional animation projects that still implements paper and pencil (Yes, Moana 2 still implemented traditional animation by the great Eric Goldberg), for the little tattoo. However, utilizing the same drive to adapt, I am learning to do similar tasks using Toon Boom Harmony. Despite my longivity in this ever changing field of animation, I am always willing to learn, grow, and contribute my abilities to what the future holds.
